Here's the stuff you need to know:
- There are two types of missions: user-created and preset. Site staff make the preset missions, and those who play leaders or high-ranking gang members can create missions for their gang.
- The password to get into your gang's missions section is the same as the one in your HQ. If there's something wrong with it, don't hesitate to tell a staff member, we'll fix it right away.
- Anyone in the gang can take on a mission, with as many partners as the mission allows. It's advised to only take on missions your character would reasonably be capable of, that is, if your character is a wimpy ex-accountant who helps keep the books, it would probably end badly to make him try and assassinate a room full of Turkish wrestlers. Unless you want to, in which case, absolutely go for it.
- There must be interaction of some kind in the mission--that is, it can't just be one person doing one, big post. Missions are part of the roleplay, but if you want to write a short story then by all means, go for it. It's not a big deal.
- If the mission requires NPCs to be played, these can either be controlled by a staff member or controlled by the players. However, if only one player is in a mission, it's required that there is an NPC and that it is controlled by a staff member.
- Those who are making a topic for requesting a mission should put an [R] in the title of the thread. Presets are left blank.
- When a mission has been taken, it will be modified with an .
- Missions don't always have to go well. There's no penalty for losing a mission, but if your character gets injured, would be ridiculed, or fails something important, make sure it's kept consistent. Likewise, if they manage to go above and beyond, have that also affect things the way they'd be affected. All actions have consequences, good and bad.
- Missions have to be in keeping with the ideals of the gang it's a mission for. i.e., a gang that keeps itself "clean" wouldn't start selling heroin, and a biker gang wouldn't be getting a politician in their pocket.
- For a Mission RP topic, make sure to put [Mission] in the title. Of course, moles have an exception to this.
- Missions are often doing something to harm another gang! So be on the look out for missions harming your own gang, you'll have to try and stop them!
