0IX. overall personality kaizen, overall, is a quiet being. he dislikes talking and would rather sit back and watch as things progressed and offer very few words. in school he was always the loner and a target for bullies; he was intelligent, and when it came to battles he fought from a psychological stand point. of course that didn't make him impervious to scrapes, bruises, and black eyes. he was very accustomed to those. as he grew older, though, he learned how to fend for himself, but he would much rather not fight if it could be avoided. as for friends, if he has any they are few and close. very few. and as for love? don't count on it. he's about as awkward as a duck on land when it comes to the mechanics of flirting with a woman.

0XI. position unit b; despite being young and having started at a later point in life with his training kaizen had disciplined background when it came to training with swords. he has a level head, believes that avoiding tragedy if possible is the best path to take, and isn't easily taken down if it comes to close combat. beyond his ability with swords kaizen is pretty handy with a gun, he is a sure shot, most of the time.

0VI. overall history there is always more to someone's birth than simply coming into the world. kaizen's mother, kichi ishinomori, was a japanese prostitute (a labor forced, not desired) who fell in love with a foreigner by the name of zoryn barsuvok. they met just how you would expect: in a bedroom with the original intent to simply take it off and get it on. that night, though, more than fluids were exchanged and before the sun peeked over the horizon the next morning kichi was off to another continent with her prince charming, zoryn, a man who was twenty-five years her senior.
russia, a new beginning. kichi wasn't ecstatic about the new start, having stepped out of a brothel and right into a russian gang, but she had love on her side - and both were taken care of by the group zoryn was tied to. two months after her arrival in this new world kichi was slowly learning their language and plans of marriage had been floating between the lovebirds. one night, though, it all came to and end when one night news came to kichi that zoryn was dead. kichi, broken, decided to return to japan and start yet another new life; a month after she returned to her homeland the woman discovered that she hadn't left japan alone. some months later kaizen was born.
kaizen, born and raised in japan, had many problems as a child. he was often teased for his foreign heritage and single mother; pride pushed kaizen to fight back and because of that he would often return home with scrapes, bruises, and blossoming black eyes. feeling as if she needed to do something to help him kichi enrolled kaizen in a dojo and the boy began to study the art of swords when he was seven. with this new talent he was better prepared to fend off his bullies and return from school mostly unharmed.
unfortunately in his fifteenth year men from kichi's past came looking for her. fearing a horrible turn in life kichi uprooted kaizen and returned to russia and the people who she had known when with zoryn. with the son of the man who had given his life to the gang they were welcomed back, but at a cost, one kaizen accepted with his head high. kaizen began training, much to kichi's dismay, but she allowed it... for a while before putting her foot down, dragging kaizen away, and starting a new and poor life as a maid. despite being ripped away from the gang's support kaizen returned, secretly - mostly to earn money to help his mother (under the pretense that he found a good paying job) - and he went through his years of training with the finger puppets.
now twenty kaizen has moved on to his own life and continues to partake in gang life, feeling closer to the part of his life he knew nothing about: his father. still, kichi knows nothing of his involvement.
